Pomp and Circumstance
– A perfect Drink for Your Graduation
Along with marriage and the birth of a child, the next
biggest milestone in life is graduation. What better way to celebrate it than a
drink? After you’ve walked down the aisle and tossed your caps in the air, the
best way to ring in the next chapter of your life is with a little bubbly. This
drink combines the flavors of summer from the raspberry liquer to the mint
leaves. Below is our recipe for a single glass of Pomp and Circumstance – so
name as it is the standard graduation song.
Ingredients
·
3 ounces of sparkling wine
·
¼ ounce of Mathilde Framboise Liquer
·
5 mint leaves
·
Mint leaf for garnish
Utensils
·
Muddler
·
Shaker
·
Strainer
·
Champagne flute
Instructions
1.
In the shaker place the mint leaves. Use the
muddler to muddle the mint leaves. Add in the framboise liquer and stir well so
liquer is infused with the mint flavor.
2.
Strain the liquid into the champagne flute and
then top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a mint leaf.
This is a great drink to beat the summer heat and to
celebrate the next phase of your life. Of course, you don’t only have to drink
this for your graduation party. It’s equally great for any occasion and your
guests are sure to come back for seconds or thirds. If you want to make a large
batch, just make the mint/liquer mix beforehand and have it available
